Last weekend, we had the incredible opportunity to participate in the inaugural Essence + New Voices Entrepreneur Summit and Target Holiday Market in Atlanta.
This three-day event featured 50 black-owned businesses to help support any last minute Christmas shopping needs, and included master classes, panel discussions and fireside chats led by innovators, entrepreneurs and special celebrity guests to educate and inspire attendees on building and growing their own businesses.
We were fortunate enough to have Young King Hair Care included as an official vendor for this event, despite the fact that this would be our FIRST vending experience. Although we had no clue on what to expect, this event definitely exceeded our expectations! We had an amazing time meeting new customers, including parents and their young kings, and general supporters of our business and brand. Additionally, it was great to connect with other businesses and retailers to receive guidance on how to take our business to the next level.
Overall, this experience motivated us even more to keep working long days and nights to ensure brown and black boys across the globe have access to Young King Hair Care products! Check our Instagram page to view additional photos and videos from this event.

I purchased the curl cream at the essence summit to try on my sons hair & it has been like magic! My son is almost 2 & I’ve had a hard time finding products to work for his hair until this one. Before his hair would look frizzy & dry no matter what I put in his hair. Using this product has defined my sons curls, added moisture, & it last for several days at a time with out having to apply more product. We are in love & can’t thank you all enough!
