We know that the men of all ages have neglected to practice self-care because it’s been seen as “only for women.” But self-care is all about meeting your basic needs because when you look good, you feel good both physically and mentally.

That’s why our King Squad is shining a light on this narrative that is often overlooked when it comes to young Black and Brown men and expanding their mindset. We want the world to know that Black Boy Joy starts with self-care, leads with confidence & ends with greatness!

Why Young King?

Simply put, we’re here for Black and Brown young men who strive to be authentically themselves — embracing their textured hair and loving the skin they’re in. And more importantly, we’re here to change the narrative of how the world sees young men of color – young kings represented as unapologetic, dynamic and expressive with confidence and swag.
